  8. Corporate computer bulletin board system access regulations
  9.

  11. @001 operates a computer telecommunications service (referred to 
  12. as the "BBS") for corporate communications and customer support.

  15. The following regulations apply to the use of the system. 
  16. Violation of any of these regulations is a serious breach of the 
  17. employment relationship between @001 and any employee who 
  18. violates these rules. Violations may result in dismissal or other 
  19. sanctions.

  22. A. Access to the system. Supervisors of each department may 
  23. request that employees under their authority receive access to 
  24. the BBS. The @002 shall make the determination whether such 
  25. requests shall be granted. If such a request is granted, the 
  26. employee to receive access shall choose a unique password. Pass 
  27. words must not include the initials or name of the employee or 
  28. their relatives, and must be non-obvious. The @002 shall 
  29. determine what security level and access level each employee 
  30. shall receive and shall inform the employee in writing what their 
  31. access level is and what areas and functions they may perform on 
  32. the BBS. Passwords must be changed at least once each 90 days.

  35. B. Limitation of access. Employees granted access to the BBS must 
  36. take effective steps to protect their password from disclosure. 
  37. For example, writing the pass word down in a rolodex placed on 
  38. top of an unsecured desk, or on the bottom of the key pad is 
  39. unacceptable. Telling third parties ones password is also a 
  40. violation of this policy.
